About 3Zero-G

22 February 2012

3Zero-G was set up in April 2009 as a Call of Duty 4 PC clan for over 30s, but faded away because I was a brand new parent and found it easier to join someone else's clan and let them do the administration.

I've been a gamer since Space Invaders & Binatone TV Tennis and, since I'm a PC gamer by choice, I'm used to a certain standard when it comes to things such as sound. T.V. speakers just don't do the job. So, when I got a PS3 the first thing I looked for was a good headset.

There was no way I was paying £70 for a Turtle Beach headset. Not after reading the reviews and finding out it was just a stereo gaming headset that was rumoured to have a persistent hissing noise... I had better headsets than that lying around spare from my PC gaming.
Perhaps there was some way I could use one of those?

I borrowed a Turtle Beach P21 to see how it worked and set out to convert a Creative Labs Fatal1ty. The result is the kit you'll find on here. It works just as well because it uses exactly the same connectors - and I've had that confirmed from friends who own an official Turtle Beach headset.

The Creative Labs Fatal1ty headset was ultimately beaten for sound quality by the Ozone Attack in a testing session involving 6 brands of headset, so I'm sticking with that one in the kit for now.

I decided to resurrect the old site in order to make them available. All of this is my own, amateur work, learned from books and started on a shoestring budget, so please bear with me while the site develops.
My plan is to continue the "why pay for two?" theme and specialise in collecting products that can be used on both the PS3 and the PC and perhaps the x-box, if possible.

If you are looking to buy, you can browse our products and buy through Paypal, or else follow the eBay link above.
The eBay option isn't ideal because the fees eBay and Paypal charge for each sale need to be passed on to you, the customer. However I'll keep some headset kits on the go in case that is your preference.

You can make enquiries or leave feedback by using this enquiry form. I work full time and monitor the inbox at lunchtime, evenings and weekends.

You can also join the discussion forums using the link above. In there you'll find full details of how the headset works. This will let you decide what products suit you best.

Kind regards
